The Director of E-commerce will be responsible for leading and developing the e-commerce and digital marketing function for our own brand sites and 3rd party ecommerce sites in the US market. Key focus for this role is on our Waterford brand but also managing our English Brands portfolio's ecommerce in the US. This role will work in close collaboration with the global E-commerce function in developing the best possible ecommerce customer experience and driving the business outcomes in the US market. This role will be responsible for the ecommerce business analysis, presenting insights and recommendations to drive online sales and executing on the agreed plans. The candidate is expected to be a visionary with a high level of digital merchandising and project management expertise who likes to work in a fast-paced, innovative, and collaborative work environment. The role will involve cross-functional collaboration across multiple departments and a global organization. The Director of E-Commerce plays a crucial role in helping the company achieve its online revenue goals and stay competitive in the digital marketplace.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Enablers

  • Develop, execute, and deliver annual strategic growth plans for own- and indirect-eCommerce, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders in global eCom, Sales, Brand, and Marketing

  • Build, guide, and nurture a high-performing eCommerce team, prioritizing workflow for maximum impact on business growth

  • Partner with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance overall efficiency and effectiveness of ecommerce operations

  • Manage site maintenance plan and budget; work with the in-house team and external vendors to achieve the plan and brand goals

  • Generate, manage, and maintain monthly and weekly reporting using analytics tools - including the tracking and analysis of sales & profitability

  • Stay up to date on trends in the e-commerce industry

Assortment & AOV

  • Maintain and grow product assortment, including customer product numbers

  • Review retail and customer profitability on top-selling items, adjust the price accordingly to ensure the account remains competitive

  • Responsible for product launch strategy including timely item set-up, seeding ratings and reviews, and coordinating merchandising and paid efforts

  • Oversee accurate monthly SKU-level inventory forecasts by leveraging POS and historical sales data to improve the SOP process

  • Analyze the competitive landscape to develop white-label opportunities and influence product development strategy

Digital Shelf & Conversion

  • Leverage merchandising and content expertise to help develop a best-in-class online experience that maximizes conversion opportunities and encourages more site visits

  • Audit existing product listings for accuracy and make recommendations for improvements, including content, attributes, ratings & reviews, and competitive analysis

  • Ensure adoption of price increases, including all customer communications and administrative responsibilities

Traffic & Marketing

  • Own and oversee digital marketing strategy and budget, including KPIs

    Increase market share in indirect sites by advocating placement in emails, landing pages, and catalogs

    Leverage marketing and promotional opportunities to drive sales growth
