Job Description
Position Title: Press Brake/Bender Operators - 1st + 3rd Shift
Wage: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
Shift: 1st + 3rd
Leading manufacturer in Loves Park is looking for Press Brake/Bender Operators. This is a great opportunity at a very busy company.
Press Brake/Bender Operators Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up, adjust, and operate the bending machine.
- Read and interpret blueprint specifications to determine procedures, verify programs and tooling.
- Position and replace tools and set in relation to machine.
- Understand special material handling required for materials and equipment used in the work cell.
- Interpret drawings, schematics, and machine specifications.
- Use a variety of precision measuring devices to set up and adjust work and verify conformance of work to specifications.
- Repair/correction of errors.
Press Brake/Bender Operators Requirements:
- An understanding of machining/fabricating fundamentals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills.
- Intermediate PC knowledge.
- Experience working with fabrication machines, specifically milling machine/Brake/Turret drill press, saw, grinder.
- Ability to perform reading, writing, and math functions.
- Frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls and talk or hear.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Regularly required to walk; stoop; crouch; bend and reach above shoulders.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Frequently is required to use hands to manipulate objects, tools or controls and talk or hear.
