SUPPLY PLANNING MANAGER, FISKARS AMERICAS

In this role, you'll play a crucial part in managing and leading our Supply Planning processes for North America, ensuring optimal inventory levels, and driving process improvements across the supply chain organization.

Your role will involve collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including Demand Planning, Sourcing, Sales, and Operations, to ensure seamless product delivery and customer satisfaction. This position is based in Middleton, WI, US and reports to Clay Steimle, Director, Supply Chain, Fiskars Americas. The role is full-time and is hybrid.

WHAT YOU'LL DO AT FISKARS

Responsibilities:

  • Own the Americas Supply function within the monthly S&OP cycle, providing input to the overall Sales & Operations Planning process.
  • Identify and communicate any gaps in supply vs. sales forecasting.
  • Lead communication with other teams regarding product delivery and availability to ensure customer service expectations are met.
  • Act as a local contact in global demand/supply balancing.
  • Actively participate in New Product Development execution to align supplier delivery with new product launch dates.
  • Proactively lead the supply analysts in establishing optimal purchasing quantities and stocking levels.
  • Monitor the release of purchase orders to support the inventory plan.
  • Oversee demand fluctuations and identify recovery opportunities through various expediting or de-expediting options (65% of time).
  • Manage supplier capacity during peak periods for on-time delivery and customer service (10%).
  • Be accountable for ERP system integrity related to Supply Planning, including item set-up, planning parameters, etc. (5%).
  • Manage KPIs related to Supply Planning, including Inventory projections, Excess & Obsolete (E&O), Supplier Service, and Availability (10%).
  • Provide leadership, set goals, and support career development for Supply Analysts, driving process improvement (10%).

WHO YOU ARE

Experience:

  • Bachelor's in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or other related field + 5 years of experience OR minimum of 8 years of experience
  • Minimum 5-7 years of planning experience, including at least 3 years of Supply Planning management responsibilities
  • Experience with forecasting and inventory planning for sourced/own manufactured products in the consumer products industry
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Exceptional computer literacy, including proficiency with ERP software (SAP, JDE, Oracle, etc.), Microsoft Office suite, Business Intelligence reporting tools (Cognos), and Product Lifecycle Management software
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, foster teamwork, and achieve business objectives
  • Knowledge of SAP/APO
